IN ACCORDANCE with the Christian celebration of “All Souls” in early November, the chorus remembers children that have passed in the last year due to violence in this country and worldwide. Eric Whitacre’s piece “Child of Wonder” comes from his larger work The Sacred Veil for chorus, piano, and cello. Maurice Duruflé’s Requiem is the centerpiece of this memorial and features Seattle-based organist Dr. William Bryant. Other commemorative pieces include works by Sarah Quartel, Antonín Dvořák, Elaine Hagenburg, and Shawn Crouch for chorus, piano and cello.
