Celebrate the splendid music and poetry of France with this program of choral classics, directed by Fredrick Lokken. The concert features Maurice Duruflé’s exquisite Requiem for chorus and organ, accompanied by talented guest artist Norma Aamodt-Nelson. Works by Gabriel Fauré (Cantique de Jean Racine), Francis Poulenc (Belle et ressemblante from Sept Chansons), Charles-Marie Widor (Quam dilecta tabernacula tua) and Camille Saint-Saens (Calme des Nuits), as well as a rousing arrangement of a folk song from the Channel Islands, Verduron, fill out the program.
